Join your association and nonprofit colleagues to participate in a networking discussion about what Juneteenth means to you and how associations can best honor/celebrate it.

African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey

As Chief of Policy and External Affairs for the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, Ms. Nixon leads the organization’s policy, government, and public affairs agenda. She supports the chamber in implementing policies, programs, and events devised to improve the economic and financial status of members of New Jersey’s Black community.

Ms. Nixon started her professional career as a business attorney. She practiced corporate law for 18 years – five years at a midsize Manhattan law firm and 13 years at a leading commercial and consumer finance company. She also served as an adjunct professor at the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University–Newark where she taught one course on ethics and another on leadership.
 
Ms. Nixon received her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the Morristown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she currently serves as first vice president.
