Credentialing: Certificates, Certification, and Accreditation – How to Tell the Difference and What It Means for Your Association
The world of credentialing can be confusing. There are certification boards, associations offering certifications, certificates of completion, and accreditation. What does it all mean? Speaker: Cindy Lemek, CAE ICE-CCP, has been executive director of the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board, for 7 years. Cindy has been a non-profit executive director for 20 years. She has worked with non-profit professional associations and certification boards, as well as advocacy and cultural organizations. She is the Treasurer/Secretary of the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS) and chair-elect of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) CAE Item Writing Committee. She has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and ICE-Certified Credentialing Professional (ICE-CCP) credentials.
